On November 9, 2023, Michigan State Senators Cavanaugh, Hertel, Singh and Klinefelt introduced a medical aid in dying legislative package comprised of Senate bills SB 678,  SB679SB680, and SB681. The bills have been referred to the Health Policy Committee.

Faced with a terminal diagnosis, Michigan residents deserve the full range of options for care at the end of life, including medical aid in dying. Medical aid in dying allows terminally ill adults the option to request and take a prescription that will result in a peaceful death.
